Legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic

In Kyrgyzstan, the following legislative and regulatory acts are adopted and apply, which directly or indirectly regulate the budgetary process and inter-governmental relations:

1. Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On basic principles of budgetary law in the Kyrgyz Republic"

   This Law determines the basic principles of formation and execution of the republican and local budgets of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the financial and economic principles of local self-government"

   This Law regulates the financial and economic relations between bodies of local self-government (village, township, city or district) with public authorities, other local governments, corporations and individuals, as well as determining the methods and principles of formation and execution of local budget and extra-budgetary funds of local governments of villages, towns and cities.

3. Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the main provisions of the Treasury of the Kyrgyz Republic"

   This Law defines the status of the Treasury in the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic as the main component for fiscal state authorities and local self-government and as a body, which plays a leading role in controlling expenditures and revenues of the State, the management of all cash resources of the state control of debts and assets state.

4. Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic"

   This Act defines the status, objectives, goals, principles, functions, powers, rights and responsibilities of the Accounts Chamber of the Kyrgyz Republic.

8. Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Education"

   This Law establishes the principles of state policy in education, the implementation of the educational process, the activities of educational institutions, education in the Kyrgyz Republic, and also serves as a legal basis for their implementation.
